History
The Good Shepherd Preschool opened its doors in 2000 to a small group of children. In 2002, our building was acquired to expand to a preschool center. We are a fully licensed childcare center through the State of Montana. Please, access the Montana Quality Assurance Division to view our exemplary record. (ADD LINK?)Soon after, we became nationally accredited following the National Association for the Education of Young Children's (NAEYC) guidelines for high quality early childhood programs. To this day, we have maintained our national accreditation status to the highest level. We are accredited for ages 2-5. This is the highest level that can be obtained by early childhood education programs.
Our school was founded by Stacie Anderson. Through her leadership and with the help of her amazing teachers, The Good Shepherd Preschool thrived. In 2015, the needs of the Anderson family changed and the current owners purchased the school. Meredith Mehne, the current owner and Director, worked with Stacie as her assistant director years ago at another program before Stacie opened The Good Shepherd Preschool. God does indeed create life in circles.
Today, we serve approximately 40 children between the ages of 2-6. We never have more than 25 students in the building each day divided between two floors based on each child’s development and needs. We also serve school-aged students up to age12 during our summer program. We have a very loving and motivated staff who are excited to teach the children and to be a part of their lives.
As our family grows, we hope you will join us in our ministry. All children and families are welcome. We believe that God has a plan for all. Our job is to love and support each other, no matter how we come to Him. We praise Him together with love and grace.
