What does your curriculum look like?

Our curriculum includes reading readiness skills (Zoo Phonics), beginning writing techniques (Handwriting Without Tears), and hands-on math and science experiences through the use of manipulatives, explorations, and experience. Our Christian curriculum takes children through the Fruits of the Spirit using songs, plays, stories, and discussion. The lessons that we learn are applied in the classroom every day.

Each month we focus on a different theme in order to enrich the learning opportunities of the students. Our themes include: All about me, Family, Community, Transportation, Seasons, Holidays, Authors/Literacy, Habitats, Farm, Pond, and Dinosaurs. The students lead the learning and our curriculum changes to meet their needs and interests.

Our daily lessons include: individual thematic activities, circle, center time, small group instruction, snack, recess, and craft/art opportunities. During center time, the children have the opportunity to make choices. Building a child’s self-esteem, developing good listening skills, respecting adults and their friends, and waiting patiently for a turn are all emphasized throughout the day’s activities. An Enrichment Program is available to enhance our daily program.

Do you provide meals for the children?

We provide a morning and afternoon snack for our children. If a child stays for lunch, it is the responsibility of the parent to provide a healthy meal for their child. We are safe for children with food allergies.  We are always Peanut and Tree-nut free and may accept students with other food related allergies.

What is your policy for adding care and absences?

To add care for your child beyond your scheduled enrollment, a request form must be filled out at least 24 hours prior. An extra charge will be added to your invoice.

There are no tuition reimbursements for absences, vacations, or forced closures. All absences (including special requests not utilized) are paid due to staffing coverage planed for attendance.
