Welcome to The Good Shepherd Preschool. We are pleased that you have considered sending your child to our school. We are an independent center whose purpose is to provide quality learning opportunities based upon Christian principles. Attention will be given to each child’s strengths and needs. Our school promotes:

  • A happy environment which is clean, organized, and bright

  • A well-planned program that is nationally accredited with NAEYC

  • A true sense of love and commitment to children

  • Strong Christian values: To love one another and to follow the Fruits of the Spirit.  All are welcome and celebrated at our school.

  • A creative curriculum that promotes an exploration approach to learning

  • Parent participation encouraged

We provide a Christian-based curriculum which includes circle time, centers time, snack, outdoor play, and craft/activity opportunities. During center time, the children have the opportunity to make choices. Building a child’s self-esteem, developing good listening skills, respecting adults and their friends, and waiting patiently for a turn are all emphasized throughout the day’s activities. An afternoon Enrichment Program is available to enhance our daily program.

Our curriculum includes reading readiness skills (Zoo Phonics), beginning writing techniques (Handwriting Without Tears), and hands-on math and science experiences.

Children ages two – five are placed in a class based on their age, experience, individual needs, and availability.  Children with of all needs and abilities are welcome, loved, and supported.
